TimeControler is a "spreadsheet like" web application (so called RIA) which
allows you to collect information about the time you spend on particular tasks/events.
You just add task/event as a new row with the following editable cells:
begin
and
end
(dates),
description
.
Then you can save it to the database, edit or delete it. When the dates are filled, the
time
is automatically calculated.
Current version contains the following features:
- info bar - an area where operation confirmation messages are displayed
- on click
save
, delete
icons change on click, indicating current operation and current row
- on click
staus
column can be set to draft (row editing allowed) or finished (row editing disabled)
- "NOW" button of dialog editor - which simplyfies new date insertion
- POST as initial http request - in IE each time user opens application url, new application data is fetched instead of cached one.
- rows pagination
In future: category
column and filtering abilities.
You can find here demo of 0.9.4 version.
Requirements
If you want TimeControler to be accessed from everywhere in the world you should have web hosting account,
otherwise you just need PC with WWW server accessed via localhost and YUI files (read below).
In both cases you will need php5 installed (preferably >=5.2.1)
and MySQL >= 4.1 version (working mysqli
php extension is needed). TimeControler uses
YAHOO User Interface front end library (YUI).
